Computing, 2016: What Won’t Be Possible?

At the symposium “2016" computer scientists from academia and companies like I.B.M. and Google discussed topics including social networks, digital imaging, online media and the impact on work and employment.

With the introduction of computing and algorithmic processes into the social sciences the new social-and-technology networks like MySpace and Facebook came into focus. And the potential of the X-Internet for communication, media and personal enrichment was seen striking.

The New York Times has a report on this symposium.
