Corporate Folksonomies

Robert Swanwick from IBM describes in Line56.com how tagging can be used in a coporate environment and how employees can be motivated for this. Beside the technology investment he points on the cultural aspect:

"... though concept is grass-roots and easy to use, it is a shift in the way people think and the options that they have. Any organization seeking to gain the benefits of folksonomy should be prepared to handle some organizational change management including communication, training, process changes, etc... Using a consulting firm that has experience implementing these tools, is likely a good idea."
