Blogs are a Powerful Presence in the B2B Marketplace

Results of recent study from KnowledgeStorm Inc. prove blogs and RSS are gaining momentum in B2B technology purchase decisions more quickly than previously thought:

“Blogs are the perfect forum for business and IT professionals — readers want to hear about a company or a product from ‘someone like them,’” says Matt Lohman, director of market research, KnowledgeStorm. “And technology buyers seem to be more than happy to pass along relevant information from blogs — 70% of survey respondents recommend or pass along content from blogs at least once a month.
The growth and influence of social media is no longer a "what if" for business content. Blogs that are clearly written by industry and subject area experts will stand out as compelling content. Credibility while making the most of informal, word-of-mouth marketing opportunities is seen as an important challenge.
